Im Internet finden sich auf diversen Szeneseiten zur Zeit Infos zum im November 2010 erscheinenden XBox 360 Dashboard Update namens Kinect. Auf der Xbox-Scene.com Seite wird zum Beispiel folgendes berichtet, hier ein kleiner Auszug mit dem wichtigsten:

Several users seems to report problems booting certain games from recordable media on 360s with a modified DVD FW.
One of the titles affected seems to be Fable III. The game boots fine from any media on the current dashboard on a 360 with modified FW, but fails to boot from recordable media on the leaked/12606 beta dashboard ["This disc is unreadable"] – while the retail disc will work just fine according to #FW@EFnet.

Right now it’s unclear which games, DVD models and/or modified FWs are exactly affected.

We suggest you do NOT update if you have a modified FW until we know more about these issues.
JTAG users should of course not update at all (will lock-out old CB and make the JTAG hack impossible), they should wait for a new rebooter.

Es wird also erstmal abgeraten, das im November 2010 kommende Dashboard Update Kinect auf einer umgebauten Xbox 360 Konsole durchzuführen BIS das dann erhältliche Update genau analysiert wurde! Zur Zeit ist alles Spekulation und ALLE umgebauten XBox 360 Konsolen könnten betroffen sein, egal ob XBox 360 Elite, Arcade oder XBox 360 Slim egal ob Firmareflash oder JTAG Umbau.  Es geht aber anscheinend NUR um das Fable III Game. Es wurde sogar wild spekuliert, das Update würde im Oktober 2010 bereits erhältlich sein, diazu hat Daniel Maher, Xbox LIVE Editor/EMEA Region folgendes über sein Twitter Account verkündet:

Apologies to everyone who’s contacted us about the new dash launching today – it’s actually coming sometime in November.

Man sieht also wie wild spekuliert wird. Daher erstmal schön weiterzocken und dann zu gegebener Zeit NACH der Analyse des neuen Dashboards und gegebenfalls dann verfügbaren Maßnahmen bei Bedarf das neue XBox 360 Kinect Fall Update 2010 ausführen.

Update 27.10

Das zur Zeit wild spekuliert wird, hatten wir ja bereits geschrieben. Mitlerweile gibt es  im XBox-Scene Forum aber schon viel Feedback zum Beispiel:

I am in the Beta program, and have the new dashboard…it updated yesterday, and I have played BOTH the retail Fable3 (which I own-I picked it up at 12:30 Pac time-helps to have family at Gamestop!) and MY PERSONAL rip of the game using a Benq with 800 FW, and they both play and load perfectly. I have a Liteon 8v2 with LT1.2, and it seems fine.
